Fishin' fun finds bass bites aplenty for children at Lake Golden Era

"It was enormous," 4-year-old Tommy Lillie Thomas said, with his arms spread apart describing his 1 pound, 12 ounce largemouth bass. It was Tommy's first fish ever caught. No wonder it was "enormous."

Tommy, son of Robert Lillie, was one of 150 children from the Hemet San Jacinto Valley who gathered at Lake Golden Era. Outside of the Church of Scientology's production studios in San Jacinto Saturday, May 25, the American Legion Hemet Post 53 hosted their annual Kids Fishing Tournament for the first time at Lake Golden Era in San Jacinto.
