Murrieta firefighters present 'Stair Climb' proceeds check to lymphoma survivor

Marshall Winn, a lymphoma survivor, middle, receives a $3,000 jumbo check from the Murrieta Firefighter Association Local 3540 to help his family with medical bills, Wednesday, May 29.

Members of the Murrieta Firefighter Association and their Firefighter Stair Climb team with city council members gathered at Fire Station No. 1 in Murrieta to present a jumbo-sized $3,000 check to help resident Marshall Winn fight lymphoma.

The Murrieta Firefighter Association Local 3540 sent their nine-member Firefighter Stair Climb Team to Seattle for the competition that is sponsored by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help raise money for Winn, who is a Murrieta contractor and has been battling against lymphoma, and other cancer patients.
