Local student athletes from Murrieta Mesa High School sign their national letters of intent to play collegiate sports at a ceremony held Tuesday, May 21.

Student athletes from Murrieta Mesa High School took part in a national letter of intent signing day ceremony Tuesday, May 21, as they were recognized for committing to play sports and to pursue their education at the next level.

National signing day is the first day that a high school senior can sign a binding national letter of intent with an NCAA, NCCAA or NAIA college, committing in writing to attend that school in exchange for a commitment from the school to receive financial aid or scholarship.

Here is a look at the colleges and universities to which these student athletes will be taking their talents. If you know of a student athlete that is playing at the next level and did not get recognized in the paper, please send more information to [email protected]
