Menifee reminds residents that fireworks are illegal

Last updated 6/25/2019 at 5:13pm

MENIFEE - The City of Menifee and Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire would like residents to understand that the use of fireworks, including Safe and Sane (sparklers, poppers) are strictly prohibited within the Menifee city limits.

While coordinating the annual 4th of July Safety message in the Menifee Matters publication, and introducing new Division Chief Kirk Barnett, the city included Firework Safety bullet points from Cal Fire’s public website. This message includes general information for communities that allow the use of fireworks, should residents utilize them outside of city limits.

The city apologizes for any confusion this may have caused.

Please take a moment to watch the fireworks safety message that was created in coordination with Cal Fire and the City of Menifee on the city's Youtube channel at

The City of Menifee will also be putting on a safe and family-friendly event for residents to celebrate our nation’s independence while enjoying a fireworks show from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 29 at Wheatfield Park, 30627 Menifee Road.
