Wildomar accepts applications planning commission vacancy

WILDOMAR – Wildomar is accepting applications for one vacancy on the planning commission. The vacancy will be appointed by Mayor Pro Tem Dustin Nigg. The term of office will run concurrent with Mayor Pro Tem Nigg, with said term expiring December 2020. Planning commissioners are nominated by the appointing council member and must receive a majority ratification or at least three affirmative votes from the entire council. The planning commissioner is not required to live in the same district as the appointing council member.

Planning commissioners will be expected to make potentially significant time commitments to both learning the job of planning commissioner, as well as regular attendance at planning commission meetings. Regular planning commission meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, starting at 6:30 p.m .; however, there are also special meetings and workshops that could be called as well. Commissioners are paid $75 per meeting attended. 

Applicants must meet the requirements, including being a registered voter at their current address; being a resident within the city limits of Wildomar; being a resident within the city limits of Wildomar for the year immediately preceding the inception of their term and not being an employee or officer of the city of Wildomar.
