Quail Valley community streets to be resurfaced

MENIFEE – Menifee’s Public Works Department is planning a street resurfacing project in the Quail Valley community in the coming months. In addition to the resurfacing work, the project will also consist of restriping existing streets located west of Goetz Road, as well as the installation of signs to better direct traffic flow. The project will resurface approximately 7.7 miles of streets and will be completed by American Asphalt South Inc.

City staff met with the Quail Valley Community group to present and discuss the project at a meeting held at the Quail Valley Volunteer Fire Station in February. A second meeting will be held with the community group before the start of the project, where a detailed schedule of the project will be outlined.

“This project is part of the city’s Pavement Management Program, which is designed to preserve and extend the life expectancy of the city’s roadways through preventative maintenance and repair,” City Engineer Jonathan Smith said. “This program is a great example of the city’s efforts to preserve and protect the city’s infrastructure and fiscally responsible policies put into practice.”

Funding for the project will come from County Service Area 86, which provides some funding for the maintenance and service of streetlights, street maintenance and sheriff’s services for the Quail Valley Community. For updates on this project and others throughout the city, check the city website regularly at and follow Menifee on all social media platforms.
