Cahuilla Gathering Earth Day

Crowds enjoy the day at the Cahuilla Gathering and Earth Day Saturday, June 22.

The fifth annual Támit Témal Píyik Pén Kéwet, or Earth Day and Gathering, was held Saturday, June 22, at the Cahuilla Indian reservation softball fields in Anza.

This event was organized by the Cahuilla Cultural Committee, which consists of five tribal members: Michelle Salgado, Anthony Madrigal Sr., Bobby Ray Esparza, Whitney Liera and Elizabeth Rios. It is coordinated in conjunction with the Tribal Environmental Protection Office as a cultural gathering and an Earth Day.
