Schmidt teaches community about rattlesnakes

No fear is expressed while handling the rosy boa at the Anza Community Hall during the Venomous Snake and Insect Education class presented by the Southern California Buzztail Preservation group.

The droning of a Southern Pacific rattlesnake, the opportunity to hold a rosy boa and close-up looks at a Chilean rose hair tarantula and a desert hairy scorpion thrilled participants at the Venomous Snake and Insect Education class presented by the Southern California Buzztail Preservation group. The class was held at the Anza Community Hall Monday, July 1, and was presided over by Johnathan Schmidt and his wife Breana. Nearly 100 people were in attendance to learn more about the fascinating local snakes, arachnids and insects.
