Former TVHS bookkeeper charged with stealing more than $300K

A former Temecula Valley High School bookkeeper who stands charged with stealing more than $330,000 from school clubs and organizations, according to her lawyer, will attend her first felony settlement conference Friday, July 12, at the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta.

Virginia Ellen Schaul, 65, of Murrieta, pleaded not guilty to one count of grand theft and enhancement of taking more than $200,000, June 18.

Bail for Schaul was ordered at $332,000, the amount alleged to have been stolen from the school, but she was released on her own recognizance and deposited $33,000 in trust in lie...
