SAN JACINTO - A second juvenile has died who was injured when a vehicle smashed into a drainage culvert in San Jacinto, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 8:38 a.m. Friday on Sanderson Avenue north of Cottonwood Avenue, Riverside County Sheriff's Sgt. Bryan De Loss said.

The juvenile, whose name, age and gender were not released, was pronounced dead at Riverside University Health System Medical Center in Moreno Valley, De Loss said.

Investigators believe that prior to the crash the Scion coupe was traveling north on Sanderson Avenue when it veered to the right.

De Loss said the car then hit a drainage culvert, which caused major damage to the vehicle.

A woman and three juveniles who were riding in the Scion were injured and taken to a hospital. One of the juveniles died Friday, De Loss said. Authorities did not release that victim's name, gender or age.

"Alcohol and or drugs do not appear to be a factor in this collision,'' he said.

The condition of the woman and the surviving minor was not available.
