Former Inland Empire basketball star returns home, Kawhi Leonard signs with Clippers

NBA superstar Kawhi Leonard, who played during his high school days at ML King High School in Riverside, recently signed a four-year, $142 million max contract, to play for the Los Angeles Clippers.

After weeks of speculation on which team NBA superstar free agent Kawhi Leonard would decide to play for, the verdict is in. Leonard played a huge part in the Toronto Raptors winning the 2019 NBA Finals over Golden State, and many sports analysts felt he would return to Canada but the highly sought-after, 6-foot-7, small forward had plenty of offers to contend with including both local Los Angeles teams, the Lakers and the Clippers.
