Roger Landon, lead vocalist for the "Heart of Rock 'n' Roll" tribute to Huey Lewis and the News band, leads the band in one of Huey Lewis' songs during the July 13 Santa Rosa Plateau Nature Education Foundation Summer Concert Series on the plateau's outdoor stage.

"We are back in town!" vocalist Roger Langdon yelled as he jumped off the outdoor stage Saturday, July13, at the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve in Murrieta. Langdon's "Heart of Rock 'n' Roll," a tribute to Huey Lewis and the News, began with the rocking song, "Bad is Bad," made famous in the 70s.

The crowd, which had gathered for the tribute band's performance in the second 2019 Summer Concert Series production by the Santa Rosa Plateau Nature Education Foundation, came off their seats to dance and wave their arms fondly remembering the rock n' roll era of the 60s and 70s.
