SAN JACINTO - Two men were injured, one seriously, in a suspected drunk driving crash involving a sedan and a utility truck in San Jacinto, sheriff's officials said.

The collision happened at about 3:45 a.m. Friday, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Sgt. Radek Horkel.

Investigators believe the driver of a Toyota Corolla was heading east on Ramona Boulevard when he failed to stop at a stop sign at Lyon Avenue and smashed into a northbound utility truck.

The driver of the Toyota suffered major internal injuries and his passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries, Horkel said.

Both were taken to Riverside University Health Medical Center in Moreno Valley.

The driver of the utility truck was uninjured.

"Preliminarily, alcohol and or drugs did appear to be a factor in this collision,'' said Horkel.
