Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War 1861-1865 hold meeting, initiation ceremony

TEMECULA – Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, 1861-1865, Mary Jane Safford Tent No. 92 met Thursday, July 11, at the Corner Bakery Cafe, 32435 Temecula Parkway, in Temecula.

The guest speaker was Al Canales, a member of the Sons of The Republic of Texas. He spoke about the "American Civil War Heroes of the US-Mexico War."

After the program, Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War initiated new member Susan Gray. The organization meets quarterly on the second Thursday of January, April, July and October at 11 a.m. Eligibility is through lineal descent. For more informati...
