The Hamilton Bobcat football team earned top honors at the St. Jeanne's Mustang Passing Roundup 2019 Championships Saturday, July 20. The event was held at Linfield Christian School's football field in Temecula.

The passing tournament pitted the Bobcats against local division high schools.

"We went up against six different schools in the tournament and took first place. We beat every team by an average of 28 points," head coach Patrick McGowan said.

The Bobcats have been skill-building and getting in shape for the coming 2019 season. The athletes are serious about their training and anxious to begin play, the coach said.

"The coaching staff is very proud of how our football team handled today's competition," McGowan said. "There is still room for improvement, but this makes us very excited for the season. We are especially proud of this group because they are the ones that have been consistently showing up to our summer practices. It goes to show our program is heading in the right direction."

Despite some cancellations of summer practices due to weather and other circumstances, the work went on and the team is ready for the 2019 season.
