4-H Club to host outreach and kick off event

4-H Clubs from Menifee, Murrieta and Temecula are hosting a kick-off event Aug. 3 at Los Alamos Sports Park.

MURRIETA – The local 4-H Clubs are hosting a kick-off event for the new 4-H Club year Saturday, Aug. 3, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Los Alamos Sports Park in Murrieta on the small backfield.

The community is invited to come see what 4-H Club is about, and the park will have signs posted with directions for visitors. The club has planned interactive booths and activities from the Menifee Rangers 4-H Club, Murrieta Mustangs 4-H Club and Temecula 4-H Club.

4-H Club is a nonprofit organization that helps children learn by doing with the help of adult volunteers. 4-H Club is open to youth ages 5-19, and they can participate in a variety of hands-on projects.
