Temecula kicks off Old Town Boardwalk Enhancement Project with community celebration

City staff, residents and members of the business community celebrate the beginning of work on the Old Town Boardwalk Enhancement Project Thursday, July 25.

Temecula hosted a community celebration Thursday, July 25, to kick off the beginning of the long-awaited Old Town Boardwalk Enhancement Project, which will replace all the wood boardwalk planks currently in place in Old Town.

"This has been a long time coming," Assistant City Manager Greg Butler said. "As Old Town began to grow and mature, it's time for us to grow and mature our boardwalk sidewalks to make them a little bit more walkable."
