WILDOMAR - What appeared to be a father and son were arrested in connection with a burglary at a Wildomar home, authorities said on Monday, Aug. 5.

Riverside County sheriff's deputies responded at 4:13 a.m. Sunday to a home at Athea Way and Willow Bay Road, Sgt. Jeff Reese said.

"Deputies arrived and located forced entry into the residence and several items stolen,'' Reese said.

"During their investigation deputies were able to identify possible suspects,'' he said.

At about 5 a.m. deputies went to a residence in the area of Dunn Street and Central Avenue in Wildomar and retrieved the allegedly stolen items, Reese said.

James Earl Roberts, 53, and Nicholas James Roberts, 26, were arrested and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta for suspicion of burglary, receiving known stolen property and conspiracy to commit a crime, according to sheriff's inmate records. Nicholas Roberts was also booked for suspicion of possessing a controlled substance.

Bail for each was set at $35,000.
