Voters shoot down proposed fee rate hikes by TCSD

Temecula City Manager Aaron Adams responds to questions from the city council regarding the next steps after it was announced that voters rejected a proposed fee increase for some city services.

The Temecula Community Services District board approved a rejection by voters of proposed rates and charges for services provided by the city to specific zones throughout the city during the July 23 meeting of the Temecula City Council.

Residents that were going to be affected by the rate changes were given the opportunity to participate in community outreach meetings and were issued ballots in May to chime in on the issue.
