Donated backpacks and gift cards for teachers help students return to school

A backpack giveaway for needy Murrieta elementary and middle school students offered by the nonprofit Responsible Alliances in Murrieta will continue after school opens Aug. 14 in the district.

Responsible Alliances was giving away backpacks to the children in need last week at their offices, 38770 Sky Canyon Drive, Suite A, in Murrieta, and many children will receive free haircuts Friday, Aug. 9.
