Oh, now I see it

At the start of the lunar sunrise Dec. 24, 1968, the crew of Apollo 8 read verbatim the account of creation found in Genesis 1:1-10. Little did the crew know that their reading from scripture would be the most watched television broadcast of their time and would become a pivotal part of American and world history.

The reading began with the words of Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

I can’t imagine what it would have been like to be part of the first, or any, manned mission to the moon. What a thrilling sight it must have been to have a God’s ey...
