Checkpoint planned in Temecula on Aug. 23

TEMECULA – The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department's Temecula Sheriff’s Station will be conducting a DUI/driver’s license checkpoint at an undisclosed location within the city limits between the hours of 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 23.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, "DUI Checkpoints like this one are placed in locations based on collision statistics and frequency of DUI arrests. Deputies will be looking for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment, along with deputies checking drivers for proper licensing."

Funding for this checkpoint is provided to The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department/Temecula Sherriff’s Station by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
