RCWD sends employees to Paradise to help with recovery efforts

The first crew of employees from Rancho California Water District is pictured before working on water lines in Paradise that were damaged by the devastating Camp Fire that devastated the area in 2018.

The first team of five employees from Rancho California Water District traveled to Paradise July 7, armed with utility trucks, tools and equipment to work 10-hour shifts to help get water to customers as quickly as possible. Another crew of five employees replaced them when they returned.

The community of Paradise suffered through the most damaging and destructive wildfire disasters in state history last year when the Camp Fire ripped through town, destroying nearly everything in its path.
