Two suspects arrested on separate arson charges

LAKE ELSINORE - Two men were arrested in connection with separate fires, in Lake Elsinore and Beaumont, that fire officials and sheriff's deputies said they started.

lighting a fire on private property which damaged a residents fence.

Padilla was charged with one count each of arson of a structure or forest land, arson of property, and entering any lands, for the purpose of injuring any property.

On Monday, Aug. 12, Jacob Scott, 32, was arrested in Beaumont. Scott was arrested and transported to Cois M. Byrd Detention Center for allegedly starting a fire that resulted in 20 acres of vegetation burning.

Scott was charged with one count of each for arson of a structure or forest land, and violation of Section 451 during a state of emergency.
