Jeep Club cleans up Thomas Mountain trails

Among the best stewards of the public lands in Southern California are the organized four-wheel drive enthusiast clubs. From leaving no trace, sticking to the trails and being responsible, these organizations want to help preserve the state and federal parks lands for those that follow in their tire tracks.

The Creeps 'n' Jeeps club went a step further, organizing a cleanup day on Thomas Mountain Saturday, June 1.

The group fully loaded a 5-foot by 8-foot trailer with trash found on the trails, including at least a half dozen discarded tires and 15 gallons of old paint.
