TEMECULA – Jacob's House, a local nonprofit, was the beneficiary of a fundraiser held Saturday, July 20, at Old Town Spice and Tea Merchants in Temecula. Business owner, Sue Kelly, said she is "happy to be a regular sponsor and supporter of Jacob's House." Her business donated 20% of sales for the day to help with direct service needs for the house.

"We always need the typical household necessities like cleaning products, laundry soap and trash bags. You name it, the house needs it for its daily operations. Old Town Spice and Tea Merchants offered us a great opportunity to bring in extra money for such items," Carol Post said. Post is the lead outreach volunteer for Jacob's House, an independent hospital hospitality house and a member of the Hospital Hospitality House Network.

Jacob's House is run in a 4,000-square-foot Temecula home that can occupy up to 14 guests who need temporary housing when they have a loved one at local area hospitals suffering from a traumatic medical crisis.

During the fundraiser volunteer Lori Scott talked to customers about Jacob's House and provided information about volunteering and donating.
