Two people killed at least six injured in Gilman Springs crash

GILMAN SPRINGS - Two people were killed and least six people were injured on Sunday, Aug. 18 in a two-vehicle head-on crash in Gilman Hills, authorities said.

The crash on Gilman Springs Road, west of Sanderson Avenue, occurred about 5:55 a.m., the Riverside County Fire Department reported.

The crash possibly involved a van and a Kia, the California Highway Patrol said.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people suffered major injuries and four other people suffered minor to moderate injuries.

A representative from the coroner's office was called out the scene at 5:54 a.m., according to the CHP.
