There are endless issues along the way, and to assist local residents, the Thank You Heroes Home Rebate Program is hosting a free, two-hour education session Saturday, Sept. 7, from 2-4 p.m. at the Grace Mellman Community Library, 41000 County Center Drive, in Temecula.

A panel of experts, including lenders, real estate agents, home inspectors, tax professionals and others will walk attendees through a list of questions and considerations for anyone buying, selling or improving a house, including monetary and lending considerations and what various terms mean and how to pick the right loan for a particular project or need and how to save on a loan; remodeling considerations and scams to avoid; repair issues and sweat equity planning; inspection reports and warranty plans for buyers and sellers; big-picture thinking for both buyers and sellers and choosing the right house; tax implications; different ways of taking title and what the options mean and property tax savings and differences.

The seminar is free and seating is first come, first served, but attendees may register in advance at http://www.thankyouheroes.com/education.
