South Coast Winery Resort and Spa announces annual Grape Stomp

South Coast Winery Resort and Spa's annual Grape Stomp is a two-person competition, which requires one team member to be in the barrel stomping ripe grapes and the other team member to collect the stomped grape juice in a bottle, Sunday, Sept. 15.

TEMECULA – South Coast Winery Resort and Spa announced its annual Grape Stomp will take place in the courtyard Sunday, Sept. 15, from 5-9 p.m. South Coast winemakers Jon McPherson and Javier Flores will be on-hand to meet and greet guests as they enjoy live music, a gourmet buffet and the Grape Stomp competition.

Mike Pearson from 1024 Productions will serve as master of ceremonies. The Grape Stomp is a two-person competition, which requires one team member to be in the barrel stomping ripe grapes and the other team member to collect the stomped grape juice in a bottle. During each of six rounds of timed one minutelong stomping, the team that fills up its bottle the fastest will win two bottles of South Coast Wine and compete in a final stomp-off. The stomp-off champs for 2019 will be awarded the grand prize of a one-night stay at idyllic South Coast Winery Resort and Spa with dinner at The Vineyard Rose Restaurant. A barrel photo op is set up to capture and share the fun.

Festivities start with a sparkling wine or cider toast for the harvest blessing, conducted by Monsignor Don Webber. Throughout the event, award-winning rock 'n' roll band Endeavor of Temecula will perform.

Event tickets include a gourmet dinner buffet and a preselected glass of South Coast Winery's red or white wine. South Coast Winery's award-winning wines are available for purchase by the glass or bottle. Buffet dishes include roasted salmon with chorizo rice, grilled scallions and lime beurre blanc; garlic herb rubbed tri tip with caramelized Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes and grilled chicken with sage velouté and garden seasonal vegetables. Desserts are assorted mini cookies, brownies and bars.

General admission ticket is $85 and includes sparkling wine toast for harvest blessing, glass of preselected white or red wine, buffet dinner and Grape Stomp. Guests must be 21 or older. Tickets can be purchased at http://www.SouthCoastWinery.com/stomp or by calling (866) 204-5896.
