Deputies sieze 3,600 marijuana plants in Wildomar

WILDOMAR - Riverside County Sheriff's deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff's station served a search warrant at 7 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5 with the help of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Marijuana Eradication Team and collected approximately 3,600 marijuana plants worth more than $200,000.

The search warrant was served at 24000 block of Cottonwood Street in Wildomar.

"Deputies received information on the illegal marijuana grow in late August 2019 from an anonymous tip," Sergeant Jeff Reese wrote in a report. "Deputies located the illegal marijuana grow and wrote a search warrant for the property."

Sgt. Reese said no arrests were made at the property but deputies are currently following up on leads.
